Henry Coe, Jr. enlisted in Section 580 of the U.S. Ambulance Corps at Allentown, PA. Overseas, he served at the French front where he remained in active service under French officers until the armistice. Henry received the Croix de Guerre for "Unusual Coolness in Action".
